Different types of vases for home
We
all want our houses to be well decorated according to our aesthetic needs and
what could be a more beautiful than fresh flowers blooming with all its glory
or small household plants giving the touch of nature to the modern architecture
or artificial flowers. But, while we focus on the flowers or the plants, we
tend to ignore the beautiful vessel that holds it, which is the vase. Vase
seems quite casual and not so important, but trust us, it has got its own
aesthetic appeal and a unique touch to your interior. Surprisingly, there are
various types of vases to choose from, based on their shape, material, etc. We
have in this article listed down a few of these types based on their shapes.
1. Fish Bowl:
Like you have guessed from the name, this
bowl is actually shaped in a way so as to accommodate the aquatic environment
for housing fishes. You might be confused as to how this type of vase can be
used to grow plants or house flowers, but it indeed can. Certain pebbles or
marbles can be placed inside the bowl, on which you add a bunch of flowers or
place small flowers inside it, in a decorative way. You can also plant
decorative plants inside the bowl by adding 2-3 layers of soil in the bowl.
This bowl when kept on your table or fixed on your wall by means vase of a
metallic support, can bring out the aesthetic appeal of your house.
2. Hurricane
Vase:
Such type of vases consists of a broader
base and a cylindrical body which could either be carved with various patterns,
or kept simple. These vases are extremely useful in beautifying the arrangement
of coloured or white candle on your table. The broader base, also helps in
accommodating various aesthetic materials, such as colourful stones and many
other materials that beautify the radiant glow which the candle emits. When
placed in a row on your table, it can add a classy touch to your décor.
3. Traditional
Vase:
In the ongoing trend of mixing modern
architecture with traditional remnant, why should we leave our vases behind?
Traditional vases add a minimalistic yet fancy effect to your interior. The
paintings on it, enhances the natural component that the vase holds. The beauty
that traditional artefacts can never be replaced by modern architecture and
thereby withholding a beautiful traditional vase can only modify the enigma of
your house.
4. Bud
Vase:
These elegant and yet adorable vases have a
narrow neck which can usually accommodate only 2-3 flowers. Although small in
size, when these are paired with the vases on the same type, they form a
cluster of small grouped colourful flowers that add elegance to your décor.
Only 2-3 flowers can be placed in a single bud vase and therefore make sure
that you add variety of flowers differing in their colour and sizes, to give it
a dynamic effect. Even a stem of an ornamental plant can be kept inside this
vase.
Pedestal vases are characterised by a broader
neck and a narrow body, with a chalice like base. The main feature of these
type of vases is to attract the attention of the viewer on the flowers which
are grouped in an overflowing bunch which gives it a little messy look. This
messy look of flowers can be beautified by grouping flowers of different shapes
and colours. The base of the vase seems to hold the bunch of flowers while
letting them overflow from the side. The type of vase to choose is fully on the
buyer, however we recommend an antique gold vase or a modern white ceramic vase
to decorate your interiors.
6. Milk
Bottle Vase:
This vintage look is not only sweet to look
at, but is also cost friendly. Milk bottles are not just for storing milk you
see, but also for holding a bunch of vividly coloured flowers. This vase when
placed near the table near your window, can make it look like it came
straight-out of a rom-com movie set in the early 2000’s, blending neatly with
your interior.
