8 Make-up Essentials you might need on a Trip

Going on trips, making time for your skin can be tricky enough, let alone make-up. Usually, trips are so hectic and busy that between all the activities and places to visit, we sometimes forget to use our all-time favorite products. All this is when we reach our destination. Often, the troubles of a trip start before-hand itself for us. What to pack, what not to pack, the weight of the luggage allowed, all everything else, quite literally. Since usually most of our make-up products come in heavy glass and can be damaged easily, it becomes a task to figure out what to carry and what not to. So here, we will help you jot down 8 make-up products for when you travel next, and trust me when I say this, it will be all the make-up you will need.

Primer

While traveling, we need our make-up to stay without constant touch-ups. Otherwise, the touch-ups take up most of our time, half of it goes into making the make-up look okay, and the other half goes into worrying if it is looking okay. And that my friend, is exactly why we need a primer on our hands. It will ensure that our make-up remains as good looking at dinner as it was when we left our rooms in the morning. Carry primers that come in tubes rather than glass. No damage, and very handy.

Concealer

Concealers. Even though a lot of people don’t consider concealers a necessity, it is always a good idea to carry one. Because even when we are traveling, there is a good chance that someone makes a plan for a dine-in, or maybe to dance the night away at a club. Basically, a situation when you might want to doll up and go. Yes, if you are planning on carrying a full coverage foundation on your trip, then you might not need a concealer, but carrying the foundation around can be hazardous if we are not careful, which we will talk about in the product. So, always carry a concealer with you girls.

BB Cream

We said we will talk about foundations and here we are. Foundations can be heavy when it comes to wearing one regularly. So we switch to BB Creams for our day-to-day look. So why not make it our on-the-road companion too? When traveling, our foundation can make you look tired and exhausted, which kind of suffocates our skin too on occasions. In situations like these, the safest option is to switch to BB Creams. They are light, easy to use, and versatile. Seems like the perfect choice to me.

Neutral Eye Pencil

Why would an eye pencil be a must among a list of limited must-have products? I know a lot of you must be asking this question in your head at the moment. Well, well you are planning on dolling-up, or not, this product will be your savior. Always carry a neutral eye pencil with you. Nude, brown, whichever you like.  Even when you are out and about, you can use this pencil to add a little color to your face. If you are a kajal person, you can use it as a kajal, if not, you can use it on your eyelid. Put on a little product along your upper lash line and slowly smudge it out. It will give you a very do-ey look. One piece of advice I would like to give you is to choose a shade that is slightly darker than your skin tone for the eye pencil.

Loose Powder

This product does not need a lot of details about it. It makes sure that your base stays put and does not mix up within all the products present on your face already. After applying this, all that remains is adding a little color to your face. When traveling, try to carry a travel size pack itself. As its name suggests, it does not come compact and can be easily messed up if not careful with. All you have to do to apply this is, use a puffer brush to collect a little product to apply, dust the brush lightly so the excess product flies away (this prevents your face from looking like a cake), and apply it all over your face after you have your base ready.

Mascara

The magic wand is here. The power a single swash of mascara has is so powerful and no one living should and would oppose that. It does not matter what you are wearing, it doesn't matter where you are going, put on a little mascara, and boom! It just elevates your look. Here, the fun thing is, that since we are only taking eight products with us, we have to multi-use the products right. So, when you take a little mascara on the wand, you can use it to set your eyebrows too. It will make sure that your eyebrows too, along with your eyelashes, remain fuss-free.

Lip & Cheek Tint

Since we are talking of multi-use products, we cannot leave this one behind now, can we? LIP & CHEEK Tint. These tints are a must-have, traveling, or no traveling. Even if you have never used one of these, you should try them out. Tints give a more natural look compared to our usual blushes. Especially, if you are planning to go with a no-makeup look, these should be the ones you use. They will give you a natural glow, not a powdery one like blushers.

Highlighter

And finally, the makeup topper. The party popper. How can we miss highlighter right? Highlighters are sheer proof that ‘all you need is a little glitter’. Always, I repeal, always carry a highlighter with you. Even when you think you don’t need one. When you are all ready to go, put on that sparkle on your cheekbones, and Voila, you are the star of the evening.
